will vz ss taillights fit a vyss

Will the vz ss taillights fit a vyss 11 or have they changed the dimensions?

I cant see any difference between the lights on the vz to the ones on the series 2 vy.

I know the series 2 fit all previous models, so whywould it change now.

They sure do! I have a pair on my VYII @ they look awsome :) compared to the original :limpy: ones!

How about the headlights? They fit too?

No the headlights have a more upright slant where they meet the grill area so they will not fit unless you use a VZ Front bar & bonnet.

Damn, was thinking an SSX front with VZ headlights onto the monaro.

You could use VYII Calais head lights which would work fine with the SSX front bar but you still would have to purchase the matching VYII guards & bonnet as the ones on the VI-III Monaro are the VT-VX style.

VY & VZ Calais tail lights will only fit a VY Calais or Berlina or VZ Calais, Berlina & Executive models as the rear lights are larger in size.
All other VY sedan models share the smaller type of tail light.
But in the VZ range only the SS, S, SV8 have the smaller type of tail light & the other models carry the larger type.

hey guys just signed up, thought i'd let you know that you can put VZ lights on the VY even if they have smaller lighting fixtures.

I bought VZ SV6 tail lights of ebay got home and went to put em on and realised that they are smaller. I simply filed away some of the notches that stick out (took me bout 15mins) and they slid right on in.

Yes VZSS & SV6 taillights will fit straight onto all VY models exept the Calais & Berlina. The tail lights on these two models are a larger size so if you fit SV6 tail lights to them they will have about a 30mm gap between the bottom of the tail lights & the top of the bumper.

Looks like i may have confused you in my earlier post.
