You got it wrong way around, 500 VY in red or black, and 350 VY II in silver or black. :) Don't know if anyone knows the number of each colour apart from Holden themself.

They also shipped 60 VY I to NZ (48 A4, 12 M6) so 560 of VY I were actually made.

Don't know about ratio of A4/M6 for Aus, but if same for NZ, 400 were A4 and only 100 M6!

Thanks for the info fellas, I would like a silver SS VY wagon, I have a white VY I Wagon now with the SS gear fitted as a look alike (Until I can get the real thing) it would apear that the silver would become the rearest as time goes by and I am looking to keep the car for good once I get it, they are extreemly hard to find though, but with only 350 in the release of the series II, I would bet that most were black, Looks like second hand is the go,
I know of 1 new black series II left at present.

It dosn't appear that a VZ SS Wagon is available, if anyone has info on that could you let me know.

I'll keep looking, once again thanks for the info & if anyone knows of a Silver SS Wagon that is available, I can be contacted on
E-Mail: phillsmith1@dodo.com.au

Phill.

Both series I and series II were released on 1 June in their respective years, so if there is going to be a VZ SS wagon, it probably won't be until June next year.

Thanks, drewbytes, It may take longer than that for a Silver SS Wagon to surface and I would say that the guy's here will know long before that happens anyway.

Keep up the good work, they keep us (the uninformed) on track.

Regards.

Here is a silver one in Melb. Being recently released there will be plenty of warranty left.

Well checked out the S/H Silver SS Wagon belonging to Claudio, a nice car, But his best price was $50,400, it's the payout so he cant do much with it, so I let that one go, but should have full details on the New Silver Wagon by this arvo, should come out about the same,I'll keep you's posted.

The powers that be tell me that only around 50 Silver Manuals were released, talk about " Hens Teeth"

G'Day Folks,

I too looked at SS Wagons and felt that for what I wanted, "no frills daily driver', I couldn't justify the additional $'s.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the $'s the SS would be on my shopping list.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the Exec does weigh in considerably lighter.
I was not able to get mine in a manual format, which is what I really did want, but such is life.

My wagon set me back $32k with VX SS mags and good rubber, along with twin cat back system and tow bar.
Happy as Larry!!!

$2000 later and 168rwkw's becomes 229!!!!

Much Happier than Larry!!

And the real bonus is that I have a dead set "SLEEPER"!
You pull up beside an SS and you know what the base product is, GEN 111.

I've "lost" the GEN 111 badges, and the look that you get from the "boy racers" after they can't find the "badge" and "it hits the happy zone" is fantastic!!!

Unstated is what I have aimed for and I am happy with the glazed looks it leads to.

Cheers,

Hogs :)

I was in the same boat as hogs in may/june last year, and tripped over a VTII LS1 M6 exec wagon. It was far from perfect but I coudnt pass it up at $21500, which meant no finance.

The number of times it surprises people is amazing. Its still a work in progress on the aesthetic and mechanical front, but its getting there.

If I had my time over again, I would have gone for a VYSS wagon with M6 and saved a lot of stuffing around :bash:
