It would be a Bright idea to stay with Holden.

I would say that as he is right up there this year (leading up till last round) he would be more successful in holden.
On RPM the other week when he was discussing his new team he pretty much stated he wanted to stay with holden. Im sure anyone who is up there in the the championship holden would be bending over backwards to keep

Check the latest Motorsport News Magazine and it says that Ford are offering big money for him to go to FPR and will also back his own team!!!!!!!!!!
Ford are really getting bad at creating unrealistic pay levels in the driver market, so wouldn't surprise if he switches.

It looks like Ford have secured Jason Bright by offering him $1M/yr to drive for FPR AND also assist JB to set up his own (Ford) team. The deal is either already signed or a formality. Refer to MS and AA publications for more info.
Good luck to him but it must be tough to be a team owner let alone a successful one. I don't need to go into how tough it is - many before have tried and failed...happy to step back into the role of driver only.
If Ford are really offering him $1M/yr, that have gone nuts.
Look at Lowndes. That investment paid off. Maybe they figure they are due....

But look at what Lowndes has done for Ford outside of racing...
He is still a popular driver, he is always great with the fans and probably gives more time to fans than just about any other driver. And that is absolutely invaluable stuff.
He did huge numbers of public appearances, visited Campbellfield (Ford H/O) when in Melbourne and took time to speak to the staff and became really involved in a huge number of aspects of Ford, part of the family so to speak.
He didn't have a great car and suffered for it, but as an ambassador for Ford he was bloody good....... I'm just happy he's staying with the Blue Oval.

The problem for Lowndes is he's now probably going to an inferior team to FPR given the gains FPR have made since he announced he was leaving......if Bright is going to FPR then he's probably going to snag a pretty good setup and we'll be left with a grinning Craig Lowndes back in the pit garage before the end of the race explaining why yet again he was "unlucky"

Come to think of it...now that Brightly is getting used to being taken out be competitors driving the same brand of car as him, he should fit right in at the Blue Oval.

Take the money, he has to do whats right for himself and his family no different to what anyone else would do, even Brocky jumped ship once and found a polariser...
