that tub of mercedes/mclaren lard is more powerful and quicker than an enzo ferrari, even around a race track!

What are you basing that on?

MOTOR Magazine had a comparison drive that included the SLR and the Enzo in the second-most recent issue. The Enzo clocked the highest speed and the second highest lap time around the Nardo track in Italy. The Carrera GT got the fastest lap time. The Mclaren was around 20km/h slower than the Enzo when it came to top speed, and was well behind both the Enzo and the Carrera GT on lap times. Seriously, was that you pontificating? Or do you actually have something to back you up?

motor arent exactly the best drivers, remmeber when ls1s came out they couldnt even beat a 14.5 with one?
I over exaggerated it a bit tho, i got my basis from top gear which tested all of them around a track. Carrera GT was the fastest (dunno what track they used) but the slr was only 3/4 of a second behind, dont forget this car weighs 300kgs more than the GT and enzo. It is a supercharged (PD blown) 5.5litre mercedes V8.

SLR is definately a blown 5.4L V8 (possibly 5.5). Doesn't cop the V12, as I remember wondering to myself, 'Why'?

The SL65AMG gets a TT-V12... wonder how this goes up against the SLR.
