Does any one know if the new 90mm T/B which is standard on the new LS2 VZ H.S.V's will fit onto the LS1's or is the patern on the bolts different Cheers

I measured my TB soon after i bought the car and was very surprised to fine I got a polished 90cm on mine, however I bought the car with it already fitted and knew it was not stock. It was not an HSV one but aftermarket. I however do not know who made it or supplied it.
So I guess what my point is, you could get an after market job to fit pre VZ LS1's but not sure if it is worth going to this size unless you got a modified or different intake manifold for the LS1 to appreciate it IMO.
A stock ported TB seems to work well for most mild moded LS1's anyway.
Not to forget to have it modified so it will open to full 90 deg.

:bash: stupid me i should of realised that what an idiot i am cheersDon't put yourself down,,,this is why we have a forum so every one can help each other out .........even if it did fit and worked you wouldn't get much out of it as the manifold opening is quite small 76 mm (I think ..or was it 74mm?) Get yourself a ported or Star throttle body.Does give you more response contrary to what others say.

You probably could retro fit 1 to an earlier LS1, not much use unless you port out the manifold too or use an LS6, plus because of the wider opening, MAF-TB zip tube may need to be changed.
Vettes have been using fly by wire since 97 so all the ETC gear could be obtained from parts but car would have to be re-edited Im guessing for TP.

Have a look at last months Street Commodores with the F1 Performance Twin Turbo in it. He is running the LS2 Throttle Body although he has got some serious engine management, Autronic or something. I would wager as a guess that you would need to buy the Manifold aswell to get the full use out of it and then possibly a VZ PCM or something. In saying that, you would be better off money wise to get a 90mm Fast Manifold and 90mm Fast Throttle Body, have heard some good numbers from these, even on stockers.

Just jack up the idle to 1500rpm and you should be able to negotiate the car park quite well. :p

American Forums are supporting the use of the LS2 manifold and the 90mm fast throttle body together on Ls1's . The manifold in the us is already quite cheap.

here is an Aussie made billet 94mm that will fit straight up to the LS2 and FAST. Comes complete ready to bolt on and is only $795. ;)
