Phonsy - GM MOTORPORT unleashed one of the wildest sounding n/a 346's in the country at Calder last night. But the f#$##@ clutch monkey struck again  After a super burnout and an awesome launch and what looked like the beginnings of an awesome run, it was all over by 1/2 track with yet another clutch failure  Im sure all who witnessed and heard Phonsy's 346 MONSTER will be waiting with baited breath for him to rectify the issues concerned and head down the black strip again real soon :D Good luck with it Phons and as Nathan has proven, persistance will no doubt prevail in the end

We thought the clutch might last one past just to get a feel for things but it was'nt to be.
Car feels very strong & sounds very tough :D .It has higgins heads, fast manifold , 346N/A , etc
Glad you liked the sound and the big launch.

Cheers Phonsy

Any of you guys thought of running a Japanese twin plate in these cars?

Hey Tuna
We have found most twin plates very slow in gear changes.
Have not tried a rice clutch, hey it might work.
Trying another setup for friday.Looking for a 10 second pass in the 4 door GTS. :D
Let you all know how it goes.

Cheers Phonsy

P.S. When is the turbo running down the track?
Should be strong!

I took tuna s advice from a year or so ago and put a twin plate in my car. Hey it is overkill in a car with only 270rwkw, but will be fine come time for stroker. It is driven everyday and not too hard to use (ONCE IT BEDS IN). The clutch combined with GM Motorsport Rip Shifter and braided line make it unbeatable.

Have you guys run in the tens with the GTS?
Am i correct in saying that most of the LS1 powered cars runnung in the tens
are either utes,strokers,or forced induction?
I to want to run in the tens in a full bodied full weight sedan running standard cubes.
