Quite often I buy take away food, doesn't matter what kind and I put the bag/s on the floor behind the drivers seat. Has Holden thought of putting something similar to the elastic thing that holds up the mat in the boot, so you can get the spare out, that would hold a few bags upright and stop them floating about on the floor. It wouldn't have to hold the weight just keep them upright so the soup fromthe chinese shop doesn't spill.

You can buy the cargo net for the boot from your spares dept, as fitted to Calais etc

I have noticed this popping up in a few of the japanese cars. They tend to have a retractable hook from the side of the console in the front passenger foot well. The hook is for the handles of the plastic carrier bags so they dont fly around in corner etc.

It looks like a good idea but I havent actually tried it.

i think storage areas in general are something that holden need to consider well atleast in the commodore anyway.

Lancers have a hook in the right hand side of the front passenger foot well. have seen them used quite effectively, the food cant just slide around at will.

Pulsars too. In fact at one point it was a big selling point for them.
But I agree - it would be very handy.

RAV 4's have 4 hooks in the "boot" attached to the rear of the rear seat, great for when you have milk in a plastic bag. I have some of the stikiest leather due to nowhere to stand milk up!

Our Maxda 323 has door lock thingies that stick up at the top of the door trim - perfect for hanging takeaway bags on. Having said that, I can see why the Commodore design is arguably better from a break-in perspective - harder to reach in and get them open with a coathanger.

How about a takeaway bag hanger in the boot? That way you can get takeaway without stinking up the inside of the car.

This is a great idea. Currently, when I buy Chinese take away I hook the plastic bag handles over the auto gear lever.
