The A/C fan stoped on my VX climate control
cooling still works and fan blows on highest setting
only anything less than high - no fan
Any ideas ?

Fan speed relay is shot. When I had a VT series 1 company car mine blew VERY regularly to the point that they ended up replacing the blower motor with a revised version from the VT2.

Warranty replacement as the relay is apparently in behind the dash - not easily accessible by yourself

Thanks for that
guess now I know what to do

Fan relays are easily accessible, I replaced mine in VT.
There is a fuse/relay board, located behind the panels lower right side of steering wheel. Panels just pull off.
A Relay will cost about $10

Other thing it may be is the switch block behind the facia. Mine was gone from new. Took the dealer about 10 min. to pull off the facia and swap it. This is a block with varying resistors to pull the fan speed down as you tap the up/down keys. My symptoms were exactly yours. On lower speeds and automatic, nothing. Manually on high it blew a gale.

Little bit of confusion here, but XLR8_V8 & Dacious are basically saying the same thing just describing it slightly wrong.

Climate control has only one fan relay under the dash, it is only used for full speed - that obviously works

For lower speeds, the AirCon only setups use a block with various resistors that sits in the airflow of the blower fan for cooling (just before the evaporator core). The Climate control setups use a solid state module in the same location (cooling again) that allows a greater number of speeds (more than just the 5 you can manually select)

The location is shown in this diagram:

This item is labeled 'Blower Speed Resistor' and I coloured where it is installed red.
