A while ago the "check motor" light (the light near the temp gauge) lit up whilst driving along the high way. Ever since then it has lit up occasionally whilst just driving around town. I looked up what it means and the manual told me that it was a Electronic Management problem. I know that the cars nowadays have numerous sensors and the problem could be any number of things BUT has anyone ever had similar problems? Could it just be a loose wire or, something serious... Its booked into holden tommorow thou but i could save myself a 100 bucks or so if i can do it myself...

Thanks guys

A "check motor" light can be lit for any number of reasons.
Holden connect a Tech2 and read the code. I've had Holden do this for free on a number of occasions.
good luck
