It happened to me again today!!

Has this happened to anyone else, or are the constabulary in my town the only ones like this? today they did it to me again , have only had my monaro a few months & have been flashed twice by a road patrol car and waved at to slow down and here's the clincher!! I wasnt speeding!!!!!! either times!!!!! :confused:
I have driven nissan patrols for at least 13 years due to having 4 kids and not once in all that time did I get the flash and wave thing done to me by the cops I am gob smacked really I'd be interested to hear from anyone having a similar occurrence. Ta

Its a real bastard , doing the speed limit and with a loader exhaust , people think your flying , I get it around back street 50 zone , people shakeing there heads and flapping there arms at me,IM DOING 48m, get in my work van , do 70, noone would even look twice.

Stop and ask em why they were waving you down. Your speedo might be up the duff.

I've had the wave many times, although I was usually over the limit at the time. The wife was pulled over by the hwp in the monaro and the cop checked out the car, along with getting in the back. So it's probably just admiring waves for the car......

I also get the wave sometimes, but like Rt said Im pretty sure there just waving hi as I also wasn't speeding in my vy ss and didn't turn around to catch me :P

Ive had this many a time , even to the point of a screaming match with a smelly , female . hippy/feral in front of my house in Margaret River who thought she was a human radar gun.

What surprises me is that you have actually seen a highway patrol car. Everyday I drive all over the city and outlying suburbs, and if I try really hard I can vaguely remember seeing a patrol car on the roads a few months ago. I had come to the conclusion that those duties had been assumed by the ever vigilant, cleverly hidden, strategically placed, never wrong speed cameras. I see them bastardos every day!! (and flash my lights in joy!)

Did you happen to have your fog lamps on at the time?.......maybe it is related to that, rather than your speed.

glad to hear I am not the only one , my fogs lights werent on, ( not a volvo driver)!!!
lol :lol: and my speedo seems ok according to a road side speed check i did a while ago and he didnt seem to be waving to me, more in a lowering motion at me. I am fairly sure the male coppa was not waving at my HUSBAND in the back !!!! lol :lol: although you never know :confused: I must remember to wave back next time !!!! and last but not least I agree those monaro's do look fast even when parked !!!! :cool:

I used to live in a small town and the police used to pull me over almost everyother time they saw me.... usually for something stoopid....

And the times they didn't pull me over they would wave.. it does become confusing after a few months
