Was on the way back from training last night, and got pulled over by a copper doing RBT's... I was a little scared at first, cause i'd taken off from the lights over the hill fairly spritely, and he definitely would have heard me coming, especially as how he had walked across three lanes of traffic to wave me over...

Anyway, i blow into the bag, and he asks me how much i'd spent on the ute so far. He then told me that he loves LS1 utes, and is in the process of getting one himself. He then tells me that about a week ago, a guy in a VZ SS ute got a bit spooked when he saw the RBT station, and decided to do a runner. He swung it sideways, got airborne off the median strip, and took out the front of his ute when he landed. He had been drinking, but the copper said he wasn't even over the limit.... DOH!!!

They are just like us doing their job.
Unfortunately just like us there are some idiots around also.
Normally there is no problem unless you don't behave.
I have many neighbours in the force and they are good people....to me anyway ;)

Just did a trip to Wollongong over the weekend . Going past Nambucca Heads i see a HWY Patrol car on the roadside pointing his radar at me . Doing about 55 in this 60 zone i was safe , however 2 k,s down the road he is up my clacker with lights going . I pulled over and he comes down and says " youve got something hanging out of your exhaust " . We both go around the back of my car ( me knowing full well that one of my mufflers has shit itself ) and heres atrail about 3 metres long of stringy stuff hangin out the back . He says someone must have shoved something up there and i pull all the crap out whilst agreeing with him . Nice bloke though . Very observant too .. :D

When i first got my GTS, i had met a couple of mates in St Leonards and we have the bonnet and boot open, standing around the car talking. It would of been about 9ish @ night. Anyway a cop comes past and winds the window down and ask what were doing, i look up and innocently said "Sorry i just realised im in a no parking zone, ill move the car".

The cop just turned around and said "Your right mate, your not in anyones way, nice car". However what topped it off was when the female cop driving saw the GTS Badge on the boot and yells out "GTS.....FULLY SIK MATE" i didnt know wether to laugh or cry!!!!

I got picked up for the first time in this car last Friday for an RBT. Lady copper asked if id had anything (id had 2 beers over a 3hr period), asked for my licence which i didnt have on me and made be blow in the bag. She said i was fine to go but for curiosity's sake i asked to see what id blown. 0.00 after 2 beers :). She then said i should take it easy when the lights go green as id chirped the tyres. I just said that these wanli's will do that with no probs and squeel badly around corners even at low speeds. She left with a "nice car mate, cya" and left it at that.

Nice enough person and just doing their job. I wasnt being silly and its not like there was anyone around at the time (it was a chirp not a burnout)

I got done a while back...
For reckless driving...?? NAH!!!
For speeding...?? NAH!!!
For drink driving...?? NAH!!!

I got done for having the gall to have my driving lights on... 3am in the morning with nothing else around, 'cept this cop. Typical I spose of my luck.
Should have realised that 65 bucks just didn't belong in my pocket. :(

Take this to court and fight it. Driving lights are for "DRIVING". You can easily say you were looking for a street number plus at 3am you need to see where you are going. I have my driving lights on whenever its dark. Spotlights are a differant matter. Pencil beam spotties have no place in city's. 4x4 style ones im talking about.

On my caprice the lights are for driving at night and are used as such. If i ever get done ill fight that in court.

Voodoo, don't know about down south but up here, i believe there is no actual offence for having the driving lights on, that's why yoy are getting away with it. The only offence at the moment is having lights that dazzle other drivers, nothing specific about driving lights, although i have heard this may change shortly

I think they mean really the low-mount fog (wog!) lights, which is an offence

Well I got pulled over doing 120 in a 110 zone a month or two back - (although my speedo was only showing 110, the way the cop was talking he'd only got me on the speedo not on the radar, as he was on his own in a 4wd. I reckon his speedo was out).

Anyway since I'd just fitted new wheels I put it down to that, he was pretty cool about it and let me off with a caution, and left with "oh and by the way, nice car mate"... I left thinking "what a good bloke".

Then a couple of days later I got pulled over in town just for taking it to 60 in second - nothing spectacular, just a bit loud. These cops flag me down and give me a good stern warning about "drawing attention to myself" and tell me not to do it again - they were complete pricks about it and I was fairly pissed off since I wasn't speeding or hooning or anything. Then again they didn't defect me for the slightly loud exhaust eiither so that was OK...

But yeah, point is there are good cops and bad cops out there, I have no problem with the good ones and I'll give them all respect so long as they give it to me - if they don't I'll bite my tongue usually because if you give them any lip they'll throw the book at you anyway.... you can't win really.

Yeah exactly that's what I thought to myself - "since when is that illegal?".

But we'd just had new hoon laws enacted at the time, and I was on the blockie route. They were just looking for people to pick on.
