Yo Team,
Does anyone have any rough stats on what a standard 5.7 285kw should be at the fly?? Have bought a coupe with an edit already done on it so have no idea what the juice was previous - want to dyno it this weekend.
Cheers

Well if it was a standard 285kw it should be 285 at the fly! :p
With an edit only there should be no extra fuel consumption, it msy even be a little better than standard. :)

Depends what Dyno as a rough reference a 285kw on a dyno dynamics will read around 200-220 RWKW. On a dyno log around 180-190RWKW.

MOTOR mag tested a stock 285 kw VYII Clubsport at 213rwkw. Can't remember where they got it tested though.

Is it common for Dynolog Dynos to read lower than Dyno Dynamics ones?
The reason I ask is - I had my stock VX Calais (225kw @ fly) dyno'd on Sam's Dynolog dyno yesterday - 180rwkw.

My daughters vy2r8 went 297rwhp at some dyno day last weekend. Don't know any other details but that would equate to around 210rwkw wouldn't it? I can never remember the conversion formula.

Dyno days read higher so everybody smiles and feels good.
297rw hp would be smack bang around 220-223rw kw.

I don't lower about lower, that result is a good one.
My VX SS bog stock made 170rwkw's which came out with the same fly wheel kw's as yours
So I'd be happy with that ;)

That might be close to the mark then coz it does have cat back exhaust mod, all else is stock. Thanks for doing the conversion 4 me.

jed, rwhp * 0.746 gives you rwkw.

Another one which I use is Rear Wheel Horsepower is pretty close to Flywheel Kilowatt.
Good for an estimate I reckon.
Using a GTech on HP mode, it showed 280HP from my 285kW Maloo, so pretty close I reckon!

My Clubsport ran 226rwkw on F1's dyno in full stock trim.
ISo I'd be happy with that ;)
Believe me, I am! :D
My mate's VY SS did 1rwhp less on the same dyno, 15 minutes after me (though Sam said his was having issues).

Mine measured 183 rwkws on a Dyno Dynamics , have to go back now that I have my airbox mod, CAPA MAF pipe and dual 2.5 ESA exhaust to see how much the mods are worth. Seems like both our cars are fairly healthy :D

yeah the Grange ran 221.7 on F1's dyno too....
that was a bog stock auto with 35000k's
I would suggest anywhere b/n 220 and 230 rwkw would be about right. Manuals as a rule will have higher numbers.
