Looking at how air moves around the vehicles. I wanted to ask if Holden ever test their designs in a wind tunnel or some thing similar?

Why I ask is that I am looking for the high pressure areas around the front of the car, in this case a WH Statesman, why behind the headlight and the previous pick-up points were chosen for the air box inlets and finally are there other high pressure zones at the front of the car that Holden had considered?

Thank you

Im pretty sure that holden use RMITs wind tunnel to do their aero tests, as thats what they used with VT. And holden would have fluid movement programs on supercomputers that could be used that give just a good a result... the wind tunnels just back up the data from the computers.

Fixel - Corbs was close but 'no cigar'. We do full-size wind tunnel testing at Monash University's campus at Clayton in suburban Melbourne. The WH intake placement was logical because it has uninterrupted airflow.
