Here is a vid of the Lazi8 blown torana going for a drive.

http://www.ozstreetcar.com/videos/Lazi8.avi >>Right Click>>Save As (4MB)

It is the first vid I have put together, using a crappy digital camera.

I hope you enjoy!

Not bad for a UC.
Well done good camera work dude.

Noticed it turns corners as well.

Agreed ... good camera work, though I would have mixed the audio down a tad to hear the car a bit more ...

cheers

Not a bad little job on the vid .... but the thought of someone getting a few beers under their belt and then doing burnouts etc in a suburban street/culdersac does scream "Idiot!"

The guy that drove it was well under the limit and he gets on well with the people in the street.

Not really the point though, is it....

Truthfully, no.

Look I'm no angel (I'm sure nobody here is). But if I was going to put some rubber on the road, then I wouldn't do it on a suburban street in the middle of the day. For a start there's too many kids around here....

Anyway, off topic - I shouldn't be passing judgement. The car is damn tough and the video is a pretty good first effort. The main reason I have a problem with it is that when people see these things it just makes people more likely to think of all V8 owners and car enthusiasts as hoons...

Truthfully, no..

Fair enough - I thought everyone did so around there at some stage in their life ... havent been in Tassie for a couple of years now

Then again I'm old now... I wasn't here for my teenage years... otherwise I may well have done what you're suggesting ;)

The guy who did it actually has 3 kids and knows every kid in the street, there is only one house on that section of the street and there are no kids there. If you notice in the vid he gets off the gas pretty early so that he doesn't go too fast.

I wasn't trying to put a dampener on things ... just when the video says they've consumed grog before they got the idea, it sounds worse than it probably was. Perhaps changing it to something like "Sitting around bored on a Sunday .... until someone remembered the Blown XU1 in the garage" would sound a little less negative.

your probably right there, next time no grog references! :)
