Can someone with a new VZ Monaro please provide some dimensions of the boot. Particularly, I'd like to know the minimum depth in cm of the boot as I carry some audio equipment for my church in my EA and would like to know if it'd still fit in the Monaro. I don't lug anything else in the boot that would cause me to worry but would like to know if I'd be offloading some of the equipment when I take delivery of the new baby.
And No, purchase of the car was not made based on whether this stuff would fit in the boot or not. I didn't buy the car based on boot space, but everthing else that is the VZ Monaro.
Cheers,
Steve

Tiny x insignificant x this body will never fit in here.......
Let me go measure it for ya....
Take these as maximums. There are nooks and crannies but not worth measuring.
Depth - 49cm
Height - 50cm
Width - 146cm

Thanks matey, measuring the case for the mixer I get a depth of 46cm so it should fit. I'm a little concerned what you term 'maximum' though. Is there a point where the 49cm becomes shorter?

Possibly at the curve on the bootlid it may not make more than 45cm but without getting in and closing the boot I can't give you an exact measurement. If your mixer is higher than 45cm then you may have trouble otherwise it should fit nice and snug. :)

Snug it is then. It's only about 15-20cm tall so will fit fine, then there's a suit case of cables that sits on top which is another 15-20cm so it will be very snug indeed.
As for the case with the microphone stands, that's not going to find a home in the trunk. Time to offload it to the guiter player and his fairmont. Poor guy.
Thanks again Kooper.

Hey those things are a barge on wheels - it'll take more than a couple of mike stands to fill him up. :)
Bet you can't wait to get your new baby.

Hey, they do their job, just as my falcon does. It just doesn't do the job of colouring me tickled pink. Or Turismo for that matter.
Bet you can't wait to get your new baby.
Funny thing is I can and I can't both at the same time. I can wait because I know it's coming and I've had this falcon for almost 10 years and I can't because I just want to know what it's like to a) drive a new car b) drive a V8, c) drive a holden and d) drive a Monaro. Let alone OWN one.
Yeah, I'm smiling, I'm grinning. I can't wait to take family and friends for a ride. They can't afford cars like this themselves and it will be a privilege to drive them around. I'm excited each time I see their faces light up with their own expectations.
Also interesting to note how many new friends you make at work when word spreads. Even funnier when I respond to them "Do I know you?".
Cheers,
Steve

take your stuff up to the dealer and say you want to see if they fit your buying one.

I hear you on all fronts Steve. I went from an AU III to the Monaro and trust me when I say you will continue grinning for a long time to come.
It is funny how many people want to look after my car for me while I'm in the US next week. I suddenly have lots of new friends :D. It is also amazing how many people look and point and give me the thumbs up. Makes me feel like a teenager again  I wish!
Anyway enjoy your new Monaro - and try to stop grinning so wide or the top of your head will fall off
We can do the Monaro wave to each other when I move to Melbourne next year
Happy New Year

vt2vx,
you missed the point I made above. I bought the car because I wanted a Monaro. I was just curiously asking about the boot space in passing to see what my options might be but it really doesn't matter in the end. I'm not going to take my equipment to a dealer to try out the boot space of a car I'm not going to buy off them. Seems pointless on my part and a waste of their time.
Where as in here, a new thread is started, conversation ensues, others make an effort to help people of the forum and it all forms part of the community here.
