Reading on here and other sites the debate about how much power one has under foot and that Dyno's are dodgy at the best of times and rwKw formula's to calculate fwKw and so on.
Now after last night at the WSID I did 10 runs with a best of 107.66MPH (173.25KMH)
My question is what power figure would I have to be producing to do those speeds?
I "used the search" to find out and, here are some of the results of other threads I have found so far but, don't answer my question.

Ok googled the net and found this site http://www.stealth316.com/2-calc-hp-et-mph.htm which has infomation and three different formula's to work out your FWHP, whether it's true figure remains to be seen but, i'm doubting the mathematical formula's prediction, just I ended up with hp figure from 318fwhp (237fwKw) to 397fwhp (296fwKw) with the numbers I put in, weight 3770lbs, speed 107.65 mph, ET 13.277 and worked out the power level from the formula's to enter the figure to the equations.
Those of you in the know on power is any of these formula's close to what you would work out to get a HP number from the MPH?

you would have to be making around 200rwkw on a harsh dyno, and around 230-240rwkw on a happy dyno, or to some, normal/average dyno ;)

My experiences on 4 different dynos is 15 - 22 rkw difference
Dont let it bother you.
I had a run with a friends VX that had 276 rkw against mine 212-234? and beat him by 1 and half car lengths.
I do a constant 13.3 down the quarter.

My best numbers are:

(pre edit) 176rwkw 100.8 mph (13.7)

(post edit) 205rwkw 106.6 mph (13.2)

Azza - I think you said your rwkw was 197?

That link has an explanation down the bottom as to why the readings are different.......just for interest, I filled it in and got spot on ET & MPH on the LRT formula

Don't forget guys the more power you have the harder to take off.Its obvious you would need more assistance.
I have the auto but no stall converter or good tyres.
My best time is with the standard tyres.
It spins in ist second and chirps in 3rd.
I would assume I would be in the 12 second club with a 3500 stally and some Nitto tyres but I like the way it drives now for a family sedan and my work vehicle.
Calculations are very hard to determine as each engine is a little different.
I also think oils play a big part in performance as well as coolers ....more to think about...oh and I still run a Maf
