Thanks to everyone for feedback on previous posts about car to get. In the end it had to be the monaro. 02 model = good price for top car :D

It's in top condition and all original, red leather and silver, just like the original HK. Picked it up on nye and well it's great. Love the climate control, cd stacker (with cassette too - for the old Hawkwind tape), electric seats with memory rock, memory keys one for me and one for me also. Handles great, quite fast after the v6.

Here's some pics, please forgive the old video still camera low res blah...

engine with original and now rare engine cover

There's a dusty fossilised pile of engine covers in the back of every LS1 workshop - don't see many in working condition.

So what are you going to modify first?

hmm - I suppose some extractors and a nice 2 1/2 system would be good, and an edit. Have to do a search or feel free to suggest - nothing much happens untill the motor is reving a bit, will the ls1 edit and extractors help here?

Oh yes got a bit carried away with the armorall. The interior was really dry looking, just had to spruce it up a bit, now it's really shiny

I am so wrapped it's not funny :D It's fully sick mate! Went for a cruise up chappel st today ...it was fully legit' tho as I work near there.

And today got the garage door motor and remote fixed so it's full luxury  ...and we got a new microwave in silver to match the car, and keep the mrs happy

 to all (this is great!)

44,000 Kms, $39,000, auto and dealer. I was most impressed with the undersite which was really clean, plus the great condition overall. :)

Should see many good monaros for under $40k this year, certaily worth considering.
