VY1 PCM With mail order tune

1 x VY1 PCM loaded with a DELCO mail order MAF tune.

The tune was done for my sv8 and will only suit a manual with similar mods to mine - exhaust, maf pipe & k&n filter.

Im after $500 or close ( cost me $850 6 months ago )

I have spoken with delco who advised that this will not work in another car without being sent to him so he can link it to the new cars BCM. Cost for that would be $50 plus postage.

what power increase did you get from the chip?

Never had it on a dyno mate. I would guess 280kw at the flywheel but seat of the pants feel & driveability improved out of sight.

But i got a new PCM as I couldnt afford the vehicle downtime & I was worried about warranty

Will I be able to use it in a VXII or did they change the PCM between these models? I was thinking about getting a second PCM with a tune and keeping the original HSV tune for when it goes in for warranty work. If it will work in a VXII I would be interested. :cool:
