This is a Poll which I posted on the gminsidenews.

http://forums.gminsidenews.com/showthread.php?t=10129

Please be very Honest when Voting!

I Reckon the Holden HSV GTO looks Best.

The Pontiac GTO is not Bad...is just too Bland if compared to the Holden, but that doesn't mean the GTO looks Ugly.

The Pontiac GTO with the Sport Appearance Package, looks "Boy-Racerish".

The GTO still is a Beautiful Car, although is not a Handsome Looking Brute as the HSV.

It just doesn`t ooze Testosterone feel as the Holden HSV Version...if you know what I mean.

Best Wishes. :)

The HSV, definitely. :D

Nobody forced Pontiac to change the Monaro's face... nobody told them to name their vehicle GTO either... if only the original Monaro cues carried over...

Moving on...

The "Jaguar" front on the Pontiac is not as cool as the HSV one.

American styling is wrong, so so wrong.
HSV by a long shot, the Pontiac seems too dull and lifeless

the plainess of the standard pontiac is dissapointing. i probably wouldnt buy it, but i would definately sell my first born for the sports version :D but i'd have to say the HSV over the base pontiac. the HSV looks so much better in person tho.

I vote HSV GTO, the bottom airdam is much better and we need the ability to assist performance.

HSV without a doubt.

American version with its 17" wheels, wing and bland front dont do it for me sorry, not to mention the interrior too which is left without climate control.

I think both front bars need improving (VX R8 has the toughest look).

You cannot buy a GTO in the US for that sort of money. More like 28K with all the rebates. MSRP is $34295 plus ORC plus you have to add tax to everything in the US. I am constantly having to open my wallet again to pay the tax which is not included on the price tag of anything. Tax is 8.5%

with the rebate and GM card deals quite a few ls1gto members have picked up 04 GTO's for $21k and even less.

Do a search on ls1gto.com

True, there are a few people who have recieved good deals on 04 models but there are very few of those if any left in the dealers over here. In fact if you do a search on gmbuypower.com they are just about all 05 models. And they are definately not going for 21K.

Still those that bought for 21K and even 19K I saw there have got the best deal on the planet......... $%#@!!!! it's so unfair.

Both front ends are ugly, but the HSV with it's lowered stance and heaps better wheels looks better. The HSV Monaro body kit has always been an abomination, but the GTO is way too conservative. If I owned either one I would be paying a visit to a good body kit specialist. The GTO needs some decent wheels - I mean those are damn ugly SS wheels.

yes the 05's have started arriving, question is, are dealers going to shoot themselves in the foot again over there..

It'll be an interesting situation considering it won't be an Aussie labour issue or the old 50-something cents in Yankee dollar arrangement locked in years ago, or whatever. Just a plain and simple markup.

Just give me my 25K change and I'll be much happier. Going to look at one on Thursday to see how different they are in the flesh.

Ahhh, did anyone else scroll down the site listed above and see the Monaro with a Grange front end and a resprayed color?

If it was in something other then the orange, i think this could be a winner :D
