That was going to be the Opel version, but the new EU car-pedestrian crash legislation put an end to that.

Bob's baby, the Pontiac Solstice. It will be interesting to see if Holden can make a viable Torana out of it and what Chevrolet's flavor will be.

The Saturn looks more aggressive than the Pontiac especially from side-on. It does look very Corvette like with those side air vents. The Chevy version perhaps won't look much different.
Pontiacs should look more aggressive than Saturns, in my view.

Chevrolet is making a compact sport wagon out of it called the Nomad, the original concept is being restyled.
Pontiac is going clean and classy, the complete opposite of what it was just two years ago.

That's a bit of an oxymoron. Pontiac clean and classy... so why the scoops on the GTO... I get it, it's because the real GOAT had them. ;)

The scoops are extremely subtle and flow into the rest of the car, very clean. It's not as if there's a huge hump in the middle of the hood with a gaping hole inhaling small children.
They were added because of all the whinging over it. It's also worth noting the first GTOs didn't have hood scoops either, they had plastic vents glued to the hood.

That looks gorgeous - kind of like a mini-VIper.
Can you imagine that with a Gen IV !!!!!

I'd love to see that sold here (either the Sky or the Solstice) - but with a new name, because Holden Solstice doesn't sound right, and Sky is just a stupid name IMHO.

Yes the platform is based off the Pontiac Solstice's, but the design is based off the Vauxhall VX Lightning concept. Last I read, this car was not confirmed to be made in RHD yet. So what might happen here in the UK is, after being designed by GM in the UK for the Vauxhall brand (to celebrate 100 years of Vauxhall), the car may never actually be sold in the UK as a Vauxhall. Understandably the Brits are not pleased about this. Obviously no RHD Vauxhall version, means no Holden version for Australia either...
