Just picked up my significant other and newborn Girl from hospital. Took the R8 to pick them up. We were putting baby in the car seat and it was sqwarking due to us working how to do up the buckles and adjust them etc (easier to build an engine than adjust these things). Marina suggested starting the car as she was told they like noise by the midwife. Guess what. The Gentle rumble of the 242/242 @106 was just the thing she needed. As soon as the car started she stopped sqwarking and within 30sec was sound asleep.

So as I said
This Scientific Research shows that 242/242@106 really is a baby cam.

I was going to rabbit on for another 3 pages about how good the Sams Tune is but I thought we have all had enough of rabbitting tuning posts and we all know how good Sam really is.

It was idleing at about 580 to 600 rpm. I dont have a dyno graph to display this but thats life

I know what the problem was there Justice, you were trying to strap a newborn into a seat instead of a baby capsule  No wonder she was winging. And Congrats on fatherhood. Now all you have to do is marry the poor girl so she is actually your wife instead of your "significant other".

That idle speed seems low, you sure it wasn't about to stall? :p

Thanks guys Im Glad she came a week early as I am going to the drift and sprint day this Sat at Oran Park and the sprint on sunday at eastern creek. Had to fly back from summernats for it which was ok (thanks Criso) but would have had trouble fitting in the birth this weekend

At 9.3 pound the GF would have liked it a bit earlier and smaller.

Well done Big Fellar and by the looks of it Big Baby Girl.........all the best enjoy while she is small because when she gets to sixteen she will give you hell. Just like my sixteen year old with a eighteen year old boyfriend. Its not that bad but you little girl grows up pretty quick. I still tell my sixteen year old she will always be daddys little girl............ ;)

Congrats to all concerned

Erik, Troy and family

Better known as excess carbon monoxide. Give the little darling some air!

Congrats on the birth of your baby girl.

From experience, if you cant get your babies to sleep, when all else fails, put them in the car and drive. They will be asleep in no time.

1, 2 3 in the morning...doesnt matter. The 10 minutes of stuffing around it takes to put them in the car and then get them out is far better than patting them for an hour or two trying to get them to sleep.

Besides, your driving an LS1 while your doing it!!

Congrats on the new born, and discovering the value of cars in soothing the little tykes.

The car never failed to help my 2 get to sleep, the problem was getting them from the car
to the bedroom without waking them - once we just brought the whole baby seat in.

We also found that a couple of hard corners can be just the thing when traditional burping
techniques don't cut the mustard.
