Got all the usual bolt ons but what should be next, 3.9s or mafless???
All suggestions appreciated

why not both as part of a deal with a tuner in your area? I'm sure they can help you out. seeing as your going to have to see a tuner if you get the diff done anyway as you will need to have the ppk value in your pcm changed otherwise your speedo will be incorrect.

Tell her there is a special on and you can do 4 or 5 mods straight away and leave it for a couple of years.
Diff gears are good but you wont see the outcome unless you get a good tune.

A new missus
A VERY expensive mod.
I'd go the diff gears if it was the only mod for this year.

OK, variations of the following have worked for me:
1. Get the diff gears and tell her after the diff change the engine needs to be recalibrated via mafless tune as part of a "recommended package". :D
2. Next time she is in the car hang a metal strip or wire or something underneath the back of the car so it scrapes along the ground, then bunny hop alot and make the ride rough and tell her something feels & sounds stuffed in the rear end. New diff gears will magically fix the problem (rant about how Holden wouldn't cover it under warranty due to your other modifications). Then tell her the diff fix was maintenance and doesn't count as a mod, then get the mafless tune (I'd get a cam too while your at it and tell her are amazed at the extra power from a mafless tune.)
3. And the most devious, get couple hundred bucks a month of your pay into a seperate bank account. Your misses won't miss that you haven't had a payrise for a few years. Then you get a turbo as your approved modification and tell her it is only $2,000, then pay for it out of your other bank account.

Get the 3.9 diff gears - one of the best mods I have done to date ( and I have done heaps - some good / some bad )
The difference is fantastic.
