I have noticed a subtle power surge, (much like a fuel starvation ) when the car is in 'D' (non -AS) going up an incline, or slight hill.

I asked Holden on my first service, but he dismisse me saying that the car was not sure whether to go in OD at those revs and that I should put the PWR button on.

Surely not! In 2005 I have to put PWR on to aleviate a sped inconsistency? The engine should take care of itself, I will put pWR on if I want the engine to a specific task.

Anyone else feeling this, it is subtle, and I think the Air Cond on or off makes no difference.

Wondering if I have doggy injector or something.

Thanks

Is yours an auto ???? Maybe its just the torque converter/overdrive locking & unlocking at that crucial 80 to 85kph speed.

Hi
It may be a drive by wire thing as my SS did this as well and it's an M6. It has stoped doing it now as much probably due to it starting to loosen up. How many K's have you done?
Cheers

That's been a common characteristic of DBW throttle cars I have driven - including the $200K+ ones

Yep, I'm getting the same thing going up inclines - but i notice it up to about 3,000 rpm....... I'll certainly be telling the service guy when it goes in for its 3,000 1st service.

Mine now has 1,650 km btw. It may stop with more k's though.

Thanks Guys, there is some solice in others suffefring with me.

Now at 23k kms and it appears to have gone away. Now its only the window creaks and dead spot to annoy me.

Dead spot; cruising at say 60kms, depress pedal; slightly so as to get into left lane, andhte car falls in a hole before picking up. H olden admit that many have mentioned this, but no software fix available. Wonder if a non prod chip may correct it. My brother has the Supercharged 2004 statesman, and reports the same.
