monaro bonnet on vy UTE ?

I have just bought two monaro bonnets one for the gto witch fits great and one for the VY maloo .I am told by the panel shop that it wont fit very well on the ute as the length is differant and the gap at the front above the grill will be wrong .I know that they fit on sedans as SONNEYS pic shows, and other models as well ,but is there a pic of a VY UTE with one on aney where i can look at , seems as the one that the panel shop owner saw did not fit right ,and i dont want to take it out of the box if it doesent look ok ill just return it .thanks CHEERS

Ask Plan B, he has a monaro bonnet fitted to his Malloo without any dramas.

Just trial fit it before anything else.

If it fits go to another shop and get them to paint it as that shop sounds like they do a lot of guesswork.

Um, how bout you fit the one you've got for the GTO? You're going to take it out of the box to put it on the GTO, so at the same time fit it on the ute and see how it goes?
You can leave the other one in the box.

It will fit the GTO as it has the same bonnet as a VT , it will not fit at all on the VY unless you change front guards and bumper as different length and shape.

I'm over the Monaro Bonnet. Fun for a week or so, then you have to live with it. Just like a tattoo. Fortunately my 2 week old cult following look, just unbolted for the new unit. I now love the VZ Style… Utes are fun like that!

all else fails....and this would be costly but have a shop chop the vented section from the vz bonnet and weld in to vy bonnet...

Like others have said, adding a monaro bonnet on a ute or any other car for that matter is "ricing it up"... the fact that in NFSU2 you can replace a bonnet and other car parts and thats "ricing", a bit of double standards are here it seems :)
But if you wonna do it, go for it, I reckon the VZ monaro bonnet would look cool on any other VT+ car!

BONNET fits nice now after cuting 8mm of back corners, fiting costom hindges ,and costom fiting the black plastic grill between the windscreen and bonnet ,it fits realy nice across the head lights and grill, lots of gining around thow .
