What do you think was/is the best looking mass produced Holden ever built? And why?
This can include HSV's, HDT's ect.
I know that this is subjective question (along the lines of how long is a piece of string), but it would be good to hear your opinions.
Any one?

1962 EK Holden
Not a performance car, still a work of art.
Poor mans Chevy, nice lines, still a classic

HZ Premier.
Looks average stock, makes a good looking street car.
Current model Monaro is also going to be a classic since the next models will probably be going downhill with yankee styling

Two favourites for me:
VK Brock Commodore Group 3 fitted with the 304 in silver. Great lines with a little bit of plastic that enhances the look subtly; and
A9X - possibly the toughest looking and best looking two door ever made in Austalia.
HK Monaro GTS. & Current HSV GTO very nice....
of course i can't forget a VYII HSV CLUBSPORT red of course

VT Commodore. One of the few cars made that you can observe from any angle and it will still look pleasing to the eye.

For an accessible, affordable example, nothing beats the VT-VZ Commodore & it's derivatives (SS/SV8/SV6/HSV).
I fell in love with the VT SS the first time it appeared on the cover of Motor (I think it was a blue jobbie) and then when I saw a red VX SS parked out the front of Holden HQ being reviewed by Bill Tuckey, I knew it would be my next car. And it was :)
The current Holden sports range seems to be getting better looking with each release and I hope like anything that the all new VE follows suit.

I think the 2 door SS Torana was tops ... I also liked the VT SS when it first came out and I like it even more now with the LS1 :)
VK Grp A "Blue Meanie"
LX Torana Hatchback - The bogan in me still wants one of these to play with on weekends. ;)
HK - HT GTS Monaro
Series 1 - 3 Monaros, the new VZ monaro is a complete joke.

The VL SS Group A Walkinshaw would have to be the best looking car out of all Holden/HSV/HDT models. My dream car but could never afford one.

I'd agree wth that , the VT & VX at the time of release were fantastic looking production cars - a real testament to Simcoes styling that it even transcended some early (and some ongoing) shortcomings of the car.
The VT/VX will go down as a classic in years to come EH style.
For mine the early Monaros HK/T/G esp in GTS form are the most stylish of all Holdens , and uniquely Australian too.
The VL SS Group A Walkinshaw would have to be the best looking car out of all Holden/HSV/HDT models.
How time changes . I remember when they released the Walkinshaw it was dubbed "the plastic pig" :) for the fact it was considered so ugly.

you have impeccible taste in motor vehicles Nawdy :D ....my choice too :)
The VT Coupe concept car, I still think it craps all over the production monaro.
Youre right about that too , the way the VT tail lights wrapped around the back just suited the shape better ...more integrated.........

This month's Motor has a sort of 'used car' review on them in that section where they look at older model performance cars, if you're interested.
For me, the best lookers have been the VT-VX (SS in particular) and current Monaro.

Here's my pic. Some have already been mentioned.
HK GTS 327 in silver mink, or HT GTS in sebring orange - timeless classics
VK Group A - Wow factor, what more needs to be said?
VN SS in phoenix red - clean examples still turn heads, look tough
VS Senator in Cherry black - modern muscle with class
VX SS red hot - im biased, but always liked them in that colour
1. HQ GTS 350 coupe, either in silver with orange stripes or preferaby an ultra rare purple with white stripes (over white interior too... groooovy)
2. yes, as said a few times now, the classic HK GTS 327 in silver mink.
3. lastly the Monaro of today is a stunning thing (sans spoiler please :D )

Best looking Holden for me is the V2 Monaro, just a fantastic shaped car. It doesn't need wings or a body kit, much like a beautiful woman that doesn't need make up to look stunning.

Sheesh....Look at that rear wing...Im speechless. Maybe I was pissed when I walked into the showroom and only saw it from the front.
I would like to retract my vote for the GTS R. That rear wing is just too much.
I will change my vote to HQ Monaro 2 door, A9X, and Clubby VXII.

Strange how no ones mentioned the Brougham! :D
Yep,learnt to drive in a Brougham, very nice, but HT Monaro for me
I know this is going out on a limb, but I've always loved a clean Gun Metal Grey VN SS. The VTII SS is probably my all time favourite - in black. (Although 8tb's burnt orange VTII SS was looking rather sharp last time I saw it.)
