At the lights just now I thought, yeah no water on road, roads a bit warm with plenty of grip, not many cars around... This is the 4th time I had really put my foot down at the lights and god I almost ended up sideways. I backed off but it still did jump a little as it caught traction again. If I had kept them spinning I would have surely swung into a car. I'm not finding it easy to find that excellent launch. What rpm do you guys aim for when dropping the clutch ? The tyres I'm using are kumo supras

What model of Kuhmo are your tyres? For me Kuhmo tyres
equalled no traction in first or second even prior to edit.
I got rid of them when I moved up north as they were
downright dangerous up here.

Try some Bridgestone S03, great tyres.

But from what I could gather from another thread, don't the still cost a lot ? I'm on a tight budget until I have my student loans and all paid off.
