C4B,
Great pictures of both my ride and roaz, thanks heaps for posting them, and nice to meet you.
Had a ball out there today, and to be only 2.8sec slower than roarz, with my stocky I'm stoked.
Cheers again
Jeff

First of just let me tell you the track day was heaps of fun, and the best value for money that I can remember getting for many a year. I managed 24 flying laps, in five sets, with 1 warm up and 1 warm down lap for each session. It was great having brett (ROARZ) and I parked next to each other with all of the other japanese (etc..) (no offense mountainrunner) cars out there, but the porsche and lotus did look really sweet.
I did run my monaro as a totally stock car, and it went amazingly well - no issues at all, no brake fade, loss of grip etc.... The back end didn't want to let go at all (might have gone a foot on one or two occasions) even with TC off and some really good boot (full) from half corner on. The front end really did want to push into understeer a lot, front passenger tire was pretty scuffed at the end of the day (put we swapped it to the back on return - so wear should even out).
If I have any recommendations for you (and myself before my next track day)(which I will be doing at least once again this year) they are as follows.
1. I would recommend running with some form of strut brace (the monaro series 3 has this as standard) and with the amount of understeer/bounce I was getting this would be a very good starting point.
2. Before I go out next time I will get the brake fluid and powersteering fluid upgraded to an appropriate level. I did have powersteering fluid leaking from boiling over (no harm done - damn reminds me to make sure it's all gone (probably to late now))
3. Tires will depend on how hard you push it, I went out there with intentions of not going to hard (and I did back off after putting 2 wheels in the dirt), but ended up with tire skewl in most corners (fronts mainly from understeer). As a result the fronts lost the tread edges a bit, but rotation will help prolong thier life.
4. Brakes went fine for the monaro. However I think the maybe a slighty larger spec than the standards, not sure about the berlina. Back brakes were smoking when I pull up after one set, so make sure that your pads are good.
5. Fuel, I was running standard BP 98 octane fuel, of which I used about 6-7L to got to the track 50 odd k's. However on checking upon leaving the circuit it was sitting pretty close to half a tank, so I used approx 30L out there for 34 laps total (or roughly 71k's - 2.1k's per circuit)
If you want any further feed back or info please don't hesitate to contact me by PM.
