My car is black. I have tried the following polishes looking for something that really stands out and protects. Some of the ones I have tried I thought I would list here with my opinion:-

(a) Meguiars Gold Class: Good polish and even with a number of others but was not outstanding.

(b) Mothers Pure Carnauba Wax. Easy to apply, again not outstanding.

(c) Auto Glym Super Resin and Extra Gloss Protection. More time consuming but good result. Their window cleaner is a step above all else.

(d)Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. Good result on black, the car needs to be cold or blotches appear.

(e) Zaino Show Polish. One of the easiest to apply, Does not got white on plastics or rubbers, matter of fact you can put it on anything. No long drying period. Good Result. Remember too the car has to be cold.

(F) Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba Wax. Well this is outstanding and above all others. If you have a black car and can afford the price it is by far the most superior polish I have used. I gave the car a coat of Zaino and then one coat Pinnacle a week later after a wash and it leaps out at you. Apparently it makes reds stand-out as well. If you really want a stand-out polish use this.

You will note that the other polishes are not your average, yet the Pinnacle is way in front.

Where can we get it & how much?

It is expensive. I bought it through a company called Wax Wizard. You can e-mail them at waxwizard@bigpond.com or talk to Mary on 0415 375 468.

Pinnacle is $89.00 plus postage but the vehicle stands out that much it is worth it. I was paying up to $40.00 for Tech Polish.

Pics would have been good with the results of each polish, but are you able to post a pick with the standout results? I'm keen to see what it looks like.

Quality of camera is an issue but I will post a couple with the camera I have.

Quality of camera is an issue but I will post a couple with the camera I have.Lighting is probably more of an issue than camera quality. Any time early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun is not directly overhead, works best I reckon. Some kind of tripod/monopod helps to keep the shots sharp using a slower shutter in the lower light. Shopping centre carpark lighting usually helps after dark. I'm interested to see the photos of your wax results as well.

Just curious, have you tried any of the Zymol glazes? Hardly anyone up here has heard of them but they're really popular with Japanese and Euro luxury cars.

I remember trying to get some but found it hard to find a Aussie Distributor, settled on reviewing the ones that are readily available but with good reputations after using the search function. I read on a few sites about the Pinnacle Wax so purchased some and the result was worth the money. I will post something soon.

I am always sus when a company doesn't have its own domain, i.e: something @bigpond.com using a local isp.

Maybe just me ??

Until you use the product and it stands out above all. I did a lot of investigation including sites that were mentioned on this forum that referred to this polish. The site I mentioned before, is simply a way of getting it in Aussie. To view the site that owns it goto http://www.pinnaclewax.net/

Maybe just me ??Beats me why they don't just set up a POP account with their web hosting company. I agree... the @bigpond.com address when they've got their own domain and a decent site just doesn't cut it. Someone should also set up an online form for them that takes all contact inquiries. There isn't even a live email link; they're leaving you to type in the address. Also, catalogue is in PDF format which means an extra download for some people. There should be an idiot proof Products page listing everything. It couldn't take more than an hour in HTML and CSS. When you consider the average attention span of a web surfer these days, that's make or break stuff and you can lose a lot of sales that way.

I hate seeing good businesses go bust because of poor presentation online and shitty businesses thrive because of slick designs. I'll get off my soapbox now, I just had to say it.

I agree and had a lot of frustration when trying to get hold of products that the rest of the world sais is brilliant but no sites here. Zaino has a good name but try and get that here. But my thread was to let you know that there is a polish out there that will stun you, it is not bullsh*t advertising.

I use 'AutoGlym Super Resin Polish'. I'm impressed with it. Aston Martin and Jaguar use it in Britain.

I've used almost every wax cept zaino. I've used a few different Zymol glazes (carbon) I like it cause they are a 40% carnuba wax. Zymol requires alot of work, had to use the buffer on it cause so greasy on the paint it makes a swirl mark appearance. But the result is awsome. Heres a pic

Hmmm lets not worry about the website, lets worry about the polish :)

GMH GTO thats a helluva nice finish for a colour that doesnt look particularly inclinced to 'glow', very nice indeed.

Thanks for the post tho Dark, the Pinnacle sounds like it produces good finish for your $$$. Waxwizard dont look particularly cheap for most products but at least its a good source for some of the harder to find stuff....

For those interested, here's the Australian Zymol site (http://www.zdoau.com/products/productlist.php?sid=3&cid=8). No silicone is used in their glazes.

I found 3M Premium Liquid Wax to be the best on the black Berlina that I used to have. No swirl marks and very easy to remove. Good price also!
