With all the rain lately I've found my latest VT has a problem with water getting in through the rear doors, along the bottom seal, flowing over the plastic sill onto the floor. Only seems to be if the car is parked on a bit of a sideways lean, unfortunately with my driveway I can't help this. It seems to pool in the groove on the seal that runs around the door frame, towards the front egde of the frame, filling up enough to overflow into the car.
Is this a known problem? Anyone know of a fix? I've had a look and can't find anything wrong with the seals, doors look to be adjusted correctly, align fine, no play when closed. Had this problem with the drivers door on my old VT but it was where the kickpanel tucks under the sill, there's a bit of a step and the seal sank in that spot making a nice little channel for the water to flow in and pool on the floor. I fixed that by cutting a hole where the water pooled, then another in the bottom of the seal for the water to drain out, may have to do similar, unless there's better solution......

Yep me too and that smell is really starting to pee me off have you got that yet or is it still wet.
Check under the car as sometimes the underbody plugs come of and water can get in that way??

yeah I've had it happen on VT-VZ whan parked sideways on a slope. Had a footwell fill to 3-inches deep a few years ago. No 'real' fix that I know of except for cutting a slit/section out of the rubber at the front or rear 'radius' where it starts to rise toward its vertical run up the door aperture

That's what I did on my old VT, it leaked att he drivers door, this one it's both back doors, depending on how it's parked. I'll cut the seal this arvo and seeif that helps.

Try cleaning all the seals around the door as well as the painted surfaces they mate with, then spraying some silicone spray onto a rag and wiping over all the seals and painted surfaces as well as the flock stuff on top of the doors.

Silicone increases the surface tension of water so it will "bead" and tend to stick on the seals and paint and run off rather than wick through the small gaps and get inside your door. I think Holden recommend treating your seals with silicone spray every now and again to help maintain and protect them.

I've got some belt grip for the seal around the top of the door to help reduce the squeaking, I'll try some of that. Silicone spray perishes the rubber over time doesn't it?

nup - silicone spray is recommended to protect the rubber, keep it pliable and prevent it sticking to the other surface it is pressed against.

Had exact same thing with my old VS, but mine was just the rear driver's side, BUT if I parked it parallell to the driveway uphill/downhill no leak, parked it on the circular driveway with the passenger side leaning towards road, it would leak, no flood type but trickle leak. Pain in the arse! I didn't bother fixing it as I traded it on the ute. But I was contemplating replacing the seal to see if that made a difference.
