Looks pretty good .. how long did it take, and how many coats did you give it ....

not too long
cleaned and put on plastic primer the friday night, painted saturday 3 coats of 2 pak some toyota colour, looked very reflective on the colour tag so used it. was a blueish silver but mixing came out with a lot more blue than the card, oh well it will do....
oh about an hour all up...
umm plus taking off and refitting another hour...

Very nice. Does it need to be a special heat resistent paint? I assumed you had to smooth the surface a little first?
2pak, so can't just use a $7 spray can from bunnings? :(

strut brace is good had that for years.
no surface smoothing done. guess you could use spray cans they may need surface prep.
2 pak comes up clean and shiny first up like this, no polishing or anything done. bit more durable than acrylic, not hot enough to burn it. easier to work with 2 pak

should be ok when i get around to the rest. thought to start on the hardest pce.
rest are as they came wehen fitted.
was going to do it white for less heat absorption.
can do all this stuff but don't have time or when i do have other stuff on. EG TB was an experiment from 3 years ago that went wrong, better fix that i guess
open to suggestions ?
on the rest
TB was going to become red, same as the fuel pipes, maybe strut ends, rest of the plastic same as the manifiold, some billet caps and stuff
ps the mess around the catch can is a temporary fix i chucked together in 3mins after refitting the manifold, different to how it was setup before. that will change also

I like the tb colour, but since You have yellow strutbrace ends it seems too much but if you were to use red on the pipes I recon it would be a lttle easier on the eye -----a defining area

Is that the VX manifold?
How's the car go, any better or barely noticeable gain?

i think it is just painted. purely cosmetic.

I sold Steve a VX (LS6 Style) manifold the other week. Thats why I ask if it goes better. He previously had the standard VT one on there.

not derwent blue something a little lighter.
manifold seems to be a little better. you know how some days it just feel a bit better well it like that all the time now. i'll find out some numbers later on, not worried about measuring, plenty have shown gains before.
i'll port the heads and do the lifters first then fit the bigger injectors and retune, after i get over the painting spree.
wet is a bugger take off as slow as possible without going backwards and still manage to get slip when really trying not too in some places
