There is quiet a few threads on this already. General feeling is you need to frive down to PowerTorque in Brisbane for the tune, Rob Bliss for the Exhausts. What sort of upgrades you looking at??

Last i heard no cars tuned in Nth QLD were doing any decent times or showing decent power outputs. Hence why we recommend a quality shop that have proven results for the Nth QLD guys. Shipping a PCM south or adding a chip isnt doing anyone any favors.

If you want a quality job, drive it south.

Bob Hawkins Performance is the Chiptorque dealer in Townsville. Bob does programming, but i think with LS1's, he sends the pcm to Lachlan Riddel on the Gold Coast. Lachlan is also often in Townsville tuning cars.

Cairns Monaro, you asked about upgrades in NQ. Damian at LS1Proformance in Victoria Street is a really good tuner despite what the guys here are saying. Obviously they believe that if you aren't in a BIG city you know nothing.

I have seen numerous cars come out of his workshop with over 230rwkW. One of the latest was 238.5rwkW (Biodaemon's VY SS Ute) No big feat you might say, but all the cars are tuned to run on 95 Octane fuel instead of the 98 you city boys have, as it isn't readily available to us.

Plus Think of the amount of driving to go to Brisbane instead of going to Mackay is herendous. Cairns to Brisbane is about 1700kms, Cairns to Mackay is about 740kms. Works out to be another 20hrs round trip!!!!!

Ive heard of some good reports from LS1 Proformance so unless you want to go and drive an extra 2000kms, then fair enough. :)
238.5rwkw is quite good on 95oc so i think that shows what can be done.

Biodaemon may be able to email it to you. But there is a certain read SV8 which ran a 13.2 when it was tuned to 202rwKw, then later tuning got it to 233rwkW. Not sure if it did a run after the retune.

How is that better than a SV8 in Brisbane doing 12.2 or a heavy caprice doing 13.1 from PT?? There was a stock LS1 in brisbane doing 13.7 before edit and easy 12's after.

Not saying anything bad about your tuner, but there is no evidance of his performance. I regularly visit mackay, Townsville and Cairns and every LS1 owner ive spoken to has either taken it to PT or ordered a cheap mail order tune till they can get down there.
