Had the good fortune to visit Harrop Engineering in Melbourne last week.
Had a quick walk round the car park to see Ron Harrops BMW, a silver Monaro with TUF 383 plates and an Adventra. The two holdens both with kick arse brakes.
What to do???????? Go buy some myself!!!!!
356mm four spot.
Spoke with Chriss Simm who was extremely helpfull and after picking up the rotors yesterday, it was installed be me last night in a hour and a half and working a treat.
Thanks to Chris and Ken (glad you liked my wheels).
Grant.

are they 20'S? they make the disc looks small, but 356mm is huge!

they were one of the rims i was looking at i posted in that thread few weeks back..
i like them the best, but wouldn't look any good without big brake behind i was thinking. i don't wish to upgrade my brakes so would look very tiny...
i told this design will be seen on lots of WRX's
oh they come in 18" and 19" not sure on 20"

I'm shocked that in 9 months you haven't taken the effort to get validated yet ... lots of validated members and sponsors in Sydney and a few events have taken place in the last 9 months

looks very nice Grant, any reason you didn't go for the X hatched rotors.

Price being the main reason. I couldnt justify the extra $$ for something that wouldnt benefit me.
Price for the kit is advertised on thier website so its best you look there and/or speak to Chris for something which suits both your budget and driving styles.
Front only at this stage as I was threatened with divorce if I cam home with the rears as well. I can tell you though that it will happen.
(Anybody want a slightly used girlfriend. Waranty has expired but the books are original as is the mileage. No leaks and just been serviced. :) )
As for colour coding the calipers, black was my second option after the natural finnish. I didnt buy them to have them stand out like bogs balls. I wanted some serious stopping power with looks coming in as a second. Cant deny though that they look horn. Even grey.
Stopping power is awsome. Not been into them big time yet.

They're awesome. Nice wheels, very nice brakes.
Even my missus has commented that the brakes need to be bigger on our car with the new wheels, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm:drool:
Very nice Big Fella... they look the goods indeed.

How do you find just having the fronts done as Harrop advised me against doing this? Does it have any negative affects during really heavy braking?

Your question and the resulting answer will depend largely on what tpe of driving you do them.
Me, no track work.
If you were going for gold on the street or doing track work then Id listen very carefully to what they say. But if you, like me want better street stoppers and some aesthetic improvements, then front only will be fine.
