Anyone……..
I’m putting a VN Group A twin throttle body on a 215i.
Can I run the standard 215i injectors, the motor is a stock VR HSV GTS.
Thanks, regards……….

Hi there,
yes you sure can though putting the twin throttle manifold is gonna change everything will need a retune defenantly as we experienced it ourselves after fitting one to a 215,it will develope a flat spot and splutter and carry on,you would have to see a tuner to retune it to the twin throttle body setup.

MOTOR ran an article about this mod a few years back when the 5-litre was getting pensioned off. HSV's chief engineer said they did it in testing and got an easy 300 fwkw. As sonny said, she'll need a retune.

I don't know whether you would want to spend the extra cash, but maybe a bigger cam to compliment the manifold would help as well.

Yeah I don't think it'll give you much of a power hike without changing the
cam to be honest!I would also raise the comp and tickle the heads while
they were off.I run a GRP A manifold on my stroker, but with decent comp
and a fairly big cam,I rekon on a stocker you'd lose to much bottom end
(torque) compared to the gains you'd make at the top end,due to the low
comp they run.cheer's.

Thanks men....
Any suggestion on type of cam, it will be street driven.
I was thinking a COME roller cam and roller rockers, grind ?
What's the heads like on a standard 215i ?
Thanks again.............regards

The standard 215i heads are the same as any Holden injected 5 litre pre VT. Be aware that if you intend to go for a roller cam, it will end up costing you quite a bit of money. But they are a good thing, very smooth power compared to anything the same size in standard hydraulic or solid. :)
