I am travelling to the V8s in Pukekohe for the first time, flying from Oz on the thursday with my son. I have tickets in the stand for the 3 days and have hired a car to drive to the circuit from Auckland each ( also have a parking entry). Any of you who have been is there any advice you can give me .... you know the stuff, what will the traffic be like getting in and out of the circuit? will the chips be hot? do I need sunblock or raincoat or both????

This will be possibly the last time we will see a circuit based V8 Supercar race in NZ.
Because of this, we want to remember it to the fullest.
Can I suggest, that forum members could sort out a location and time to meet and ??????

Most people meet at the BP garage top of Bombay hill, it's also the turn off to Pukekohe. If Auck Commodore club gets the ok " usually 48hrs before the Fri" from organises, we put some of our cars on display by the main stands. We also meet there.
