Over the past few months I have thought that the car isn't performing like it used to. At first I put it down to "getting used" to it over a long period but now I'm begining to wonder. Car is VYII SS , exhaust, 3.9's & Mafless Edit by Sam, made 245 rwkw on the day.
Have had a few rolling runs on the freeway with several XR6T and a couple of clubbys and although not embarrassed, did not perform as well as I thought it should.

And before some smartarse says I'm a &(*(*& driver, I'm no peter brock but I can hold my own.

Now I know I don't know the specs of the other cars, but assuming that ALL are not modded, How should the above mods go against say a stock XR6T.
The T seemed to have the initial edge say from 100 ks, then I slowly gained but not until up in the rev range.

Is it worth a vist back to sam? or is it me :(

What are your thoughts, do you get so used to the power that you think it isn't going as well?

Have you tried a PCM reset and see if you re-gain what youve lost, this is probably the first spot i would start before worrying about re-visiting a dyno.

If unsure, just re-visit the tuner, they more than welcome people to come back to ensure things are right ;)

I dont know of a freeway run but you should have demolished that XR6T if you were at the lights. Sometimes if i'm feeling cheeky I'll stay next to a XR6T in first and wait for them to hit boost (listen out for them starting to rev up) then just stomp and watch them fall back.

man even my stocka beats stock XR6T's but that one must be modded.
i doubt that holden would have wiped your edit, as it wouldnt run cause of the missing MAF, thats what i think anyway!

Good Point about the MAF V6Shame, didn't think of that maybe I'm just getting used to it. Might try a PCM reset anyway. I might add that most of the runs were rolling on freeway, perhaps those T's are better in rolling starts.

I'm pretty sure that a maf tuned engine will run without a maf in place, but will run in limp home mode. so if your tune has been wiped, this could be your problem.

If he had no maf inplace, the standard holden tune would atleast light the check engine light since the light would be re-enabled/activated for that DTC.
