Just wandering where the best places are to go to in Melbourne for diff ratio upgrades?
Looking at getting the ever popular 3.91 ratio for my M6 VTII and would prefer to take it to a workshop that can also calibrate the speedo.
I've been quoted prices from $1200 to $1500 so far.
I definitely wouldn't pay more than $1,200 for just the gears + fitting.
My mate recently had it done (VY SS) for $900 fitted. That was from a very reputable mob here in Sydney. The prices have gone up slightly, but I'm pretty sure they're still under $1,000.
The same shop is also fitting a new LSD centre and new gears (I'm supplying the gears, they're supplying the LSD centre) to my A4 for $730. Nearest quote from anyone else was $1,200.
Cheers,
- Febs.

Ring RVO performance...can also recalebrate ur speedo and trans shift to suit the 3.9's. call Dave on 0414-359-323 (he is in Dandenong).
F1 Performance does diffs and qouted me about $1,100 as I remeber to change my standard auto ration to a 3.7
Steve has a lot of happy customers on the Forum (they are sponsors) and doesn't just do diffs which from my perspective is a benefit if you are looking for a "one stop" shop for future mods

Do you have the number for F1 as my car already had some mod's done including Remus race exhaust, cold air mod and VX GTS Maf pipe but has a powerchip program in it so may get the LS1 edit as well.
