Howdy all, just got my vy ss cosmo a month ago and love it. All stock except mags and little blue parkers (tosser I know ).

problem 1. trying to do a burnout? just seems to get bogged down. I must explain this is an a4 and trying the old brake and excell at same time.

problem 2. how can i turn off traction control permtly? in my vtss was removing fuse under bonnet, cant remember which one...

problem 3. where can i get a monaro or gto bonnet with the scooooops??

that should do for now ,,,,,,,, Work your magic people

Great way to kill your transmission make sure you get a decent transmission cooler fitted. Burnouts are fun as anything til something breaks.

Bonnet scoops use the search function.

I believe you'll need to get the torque management removed via LS1Edit or similar.

Do many search's, plenty fo stuff here.

When you say "BURNOUT" that would only be at a drag strip wouldn't it?

All your complaints can be sorted via a tune/edit (see forum sponsors section). Either that or stop doing burnouts & it won't bother you any more.

As for the bonnet try HERE: (http://www.fibremaster.com.au/default.htm) or get the build number off a friend with a Monaro/HSV & order through Holden. As already stated, will most likley require modifying to fit a VY.

Its simply the Abuse mode torque reduction kicking in and taking out the power. I've PMd you my number if you want to get it removed.

You can turn of Traction Control permanently, by removing the relay under the bonnett. The same relay also controls ABS.

REMOVING IT ALSO TURNS OFF ABS!!!

Put up with turning it off as you deem necessary.

Via Tech2 there is an option to turn TC on/off...

Not having traction control fitted to my car, i was unable to test this but i have suggested this path before and never heard back .. so you never know...

Its definitly torque management kicking in and Street_Tuna is the man to fix it locally, you definitly wont be having that issue again. Heck you might even find traction control usefull so dont kill it off just yet.

ABS and TC is very interlinked, a failure (or pulled/blown fuse)in either will usually render the other inoperable also.

If youve ever doubted just how much torque is reduced so you dont hurt that lovely device that changes gears for you... Here is the answer
