Hey Guys,

I did a search first before asking this nuffy question but could not see an obvious reply.
Gen III and LS1, are they the same thing or is there a subtle difference?
I own a VT II Clubsport R8 with a 250 LS 1 but is that just a fancy name for a GEN III?

LS1 is a part or model number to identify the engine in the GM catalogue. Gen3 is a marketing name.

Yeah the car is fitted with a LS1 engine. Gen3 is just the usual Holden marketing crap. Just like ecotec & Alloytec etc.
