I have a couple of 280/17" Dunlop Slicks that someone can have for nothing if they so choose. In Brissy.

They are pretty old and have some cracking around the sidewall - they cost me nothing - but I'm not really that keen to use them.

They would probably do your times more harm than good with your set up.

Hi Pagey,, im about to go looking for 17" rims and slicks this morning might ring boettchers at Ipswich to see what they have, any better suppliers that you would recomend?? I hope to end up with a pair of really wide "inya face" tyres cos I have no problem fitting them under the tonner

They would be good but finding 17 x 9/10" rims could be fun.

Not of the top of my head mate - but yeah get something that will stand out like (blue cattle) dogs balls!! - you will get all the ricers at the track talking you up - until you blow by them - still carrying a load of rocks to boot!

(I reckon we need to get some of those rocks we were talking about!)

Just look for C4 Corvette rims. The later model C4's (1990 - 1996 or so) all came with 17x9" rims. The ZR-1 came with 17x9 on the front and 17x11 on the back. The stud patterns match our cars, but you just need to check the offsets. I think the 17x9's would be a no brainer if you have the space. Test first... :)

Pagey. If they have cracks in the sidewalls, you should throw them in the bin. Putting them on a car is asking for trouble as you run the risk of a sidewall blowing out.

I'd rather spend a few hundred $ a side and get new slicks then risk a blowout and wreck my guards.

Exactly why I'm not using them!!

Just figured someone might like em for burnouts etc..

Trust me I have no interest in running on them @ near 200kph
