I am looking at heading to Sydney (From Canberra) to get some mods done...the forum bug has bitten... I have a restricted budget (Mrs) so I am limiting my mod to:

3.91 diff ratio change
Mild Steel CAT back exhaust
MAF or MAFLESS tune - leaning towards MAFLESS due to forum but still not entirely sure (ie to save possible warranty insurance dilemmas)
...and maybe if budget can stretch a better flowing GTS style MAF pipe and K&N style filter

Could someone let me know if Sam's can do all these mods on a drive in drive out (I realise will take a few days) basis.... and if so could they PM me with an idea on cost and lead up time required re booking mods like this in.

I am considerig getting a custom CAT back done by Sureflo (as I do like their flexibility re sound/dron levels and the feedback they have received via forum) and also DICKS for a tune however the guys at Sam's also get a heap of very positive customer feedback on the forum so better check out my options.

Cheers all

Ring Sam's and ask for Tom and tell him what you want and he will help with whatever you need.

Definitely get the GTS style MAF pipe & Filter before tuning.
Diff gears can be changed in Canberra pm 300KWCV8 (Rod) he can put you in touch with a good shop.

Cheers

Sams did my Cross 8. Cam, CAI and Mafless tune (headers and zaust was already done). Great service, in and out in a day. Nice guys. You can't go wrong. I have worked with lots of perfomance tuners before with my prvious cars and have wasted lots of money. These guys are the real thing.

Do you intend to race it or is it just a street car? If you want to race, the go the MAFless and get an OTRCAI. Gains are proven at 2mph and 2 tenths. If just a street car then I would recommend just a MAF tune or upgrade the MAF to the VZ 85mm Delphi unit.

Just a street car, daily driver. Unfortunatley (or as my wallet would say - fortunatley) the drag strip in Canberra is no more so I won't be racing it. Just after some 'grin factor' acceleration improvement on a bang for bucks budget.

If you go MAFless you're going to need a different intake pipe anyway as the MAF is removed and the standard pipe isn't long enough.
