Last night, I was busting to take a dump, I was in an 80 zone and decided to give it a bit of curry as all was clear and the dog was starting to poke his head out the kennel...

Zone changed to 60 so I went for the anchors and slowed down to the limit.. 5 seconds later, the disco lights are flashing behind me. I say "Damn it!!! I gotta get to the crapper"..
I pull over, copper takes his time and says "You were doing 111 km/h back in the 80 zone, any reason for it?". I honestly replied "Yes, I'm busting to take a crap and need to get to a mens room ASAP". He laughed and said "Heard it before mate, can I please see your license, i'll make it quick so you can get to the mens room". He comes back 2 minutes later and says "$353 for that one, plus 4 points, you have 4 weeks to pay it, now get to the toilet but slow down, have a good one."

Don't these damn buggers have any sympathy??? I was honestly busting and barely made it. Any way I can get off this fine??

You could try taking it to court, bring in a stool sample as exhibit A. According to the amount of curry prescribed, and said oysters, opening up exhibit A would bring the court room to a recess in no time and could possibly have either yourself or the fine thrown out of court.

Mate, if you have a reaonable driving record, I would write a letter and try to get off or fine reduced.

In your letter, be honest, and sorry....explain the whole story.

Who knows, you may strike an assessment officer who has a sense of humour and is sick of reading the usual dribble and whingeing letters.

He/She may get a laugh (like those on this site) and be compassionate towards you.
