VY Steering Wheel Airbag cover

Does anyone know how to remove the centre cover of a VY steering wheel.

I have a chev badge the same size as the holden badge on it and I want to swap them.

HAs anyone removed their airbag cover or the badge?

PS as this is the last holden badge on my car I would really love to swap it.

Not sure if the badge comes off the airbag, you might need a chev badged air bag.

But if you want to try you might have to remove the air bag itself first, c details below on how to.

From Memory he goes

1.Remove the negative terminal on the battery.

2.Disconnect the air bag fuse under the dash or under the steering wheel.

3.Small screw driver from the under side of the air bag insert screw drive and twist and pull that corner of the airbag out, repeat untill you have the air bag in your hand.

4. Disconnect any wires and remember to be gentle when unplugging them.

5. Swap and reinstall

You will not get the air bag light coming on if you follow these steps.

Once I have the centre cover off will I be able to take of the holden badge that is on the front without disturbing the airbag or is my only way of changing to a chev badge replacing the entire airbag?

I don't think you can take the badge off without damaging the airbag. Personally I wouldn't take the risk.
