Wrong :thump: they do serve a most usefull purpose on off-shore fishing boats...as sinkers ...just as you'll find the turtle shell provides for an excellent fish gutting tray

Note about the turtle shell :

if you happen to have a little kid and go skiing in NZ, you can always turn the turtle shell around, attach a bit of rope and put the kid in it :-)
