Hi there,
I'm just after peoples (who either own or drive *regularly*) opinion of the VZ V6 range of cars.
What is your view of the engine and the 5 speed auto? Are they 'overhyped' or did you buy what you expected?
To the Acclaim and Calais owners: have any of you had a need to use or deliberately use :driving: :D ESP (stability control)? How did it work?
and just your overall opinion of the car.
Cheers!!

Wish we had the 5 speed auto with our VZ V8 calais, might make it better than it is, but it still comes with the old clunker.
Overall opinion with the car, disapointed, shoulda got another BA, but what can you do, maybe it will get stolen or written off!
I was abit surprised at the launch of the VZ that you could get the new 5 speed Auto with the 3.6L Calais but if you spend the extra on the LS1 Calais you get the "Old Clunker" Auto.

I can honestly say it's a lot better, smoother transmission than the old clunker. It holds gears when you get up it as well which is nice and different. As good as it is, it has still been overhyped, but don't Holden do that with everything? That's the way marketing operates.
A great change from the ol 4 speed though.
