hey guys, considering getting a vx ss later in the year, prolly (hopefully) as an xmas pressy for myself.. having had a n/a vl and a vs ecotec, am wanting to step up and take my place along with the other ls1 owners.. :D :D :D...

anyways, just wondering, with a stock (yeah right, as if that'll last).. ls1, maybe with extractors and exhaust (for a start).. what sort of fuel economy would i be expecting?.. at the moment i'm getting shocking use with the VS.. struggle to get around 300km to a tank.. its gone downhill in the last couple of months.. dont know what it is..

be basically daily driver stuff, to and from work..

any ideas?

silly Q-> what sorta price should i expect to pay for a VX SS II m6 at around xmas time?...

silly Q-> what sorta price should i expect to pay for a VX SS II m6 at around xmas time?...Difficult one to answer since it obviously depends on the condition it's in and how many miles it's racked up. Also another factor is the color... the white ones were everywhere but it was tough to find a Phantom M6. Have a look around the car sales websites (news.com.au, Carpoint on ninemsn, drive.com.au, autoweb.com.au, etc.) According to Redbook (not to be taken as gospel but good for a ballpark figure), VXII SS M6 figures for private sale are:

'01 model (75,000 - 95,000ks) $23,000 - $26,800
'02 model (60,000 - 70,000ks) $24,800 - $28,700
