Has anyone checked the us version of this site? I was having a browse and saw some blokes selling powerchips (them ones you plug into your port) and similar for around $150US. Sounds like a bit of a bargain some of them chips are awesome and can really help you tune your car to your own specs. Anyone else have anything to say on this i'm thinking of picking one up...

Wasnt this already posted?? Basicly its a multi-tune chip you can upload with your own specs. ie drag tune, service tune, street tune.

From what i read its a unichip type thing with options to have more than one tune loaded and swap between them.

I never did really understand these multiple tunes that people offer. For me I just run my hypo optimised tune 24/7. The one tune incorporates all my good fuel economy settings as well as the sharp fuelling and timing tables for WOT. It's all at different areas in the tables so you can have your cake and eat it too. I guess for drag racing you could get away with running a little leaner because the run is short. Whereas for circuit racing you'd have to be a little more conservative due to the longer amounts of time on the hammer which punish engines alot harder than drag racing and under a wider range of loads. Either way if one was to offer this kind of package I personally wouldn't trust it. Each engine is different and thus mail order tunes must have a bit of fat in them to account for the variables in different engines.

Sorry Mark I meant compared to the circuit tune. Yeah compared to a street tune. I agree you would certainly run richer for the track
