Dear All,

Thanks to all the people who responded to the plea to the cammed m6 owners thread. I have since chosen my cam and had it installed.

I went a comp cam 228/230 @112 lsa, and ported heads from Nathan Higgins.

I had the work done by Sonny (sonnymad or ls6 sv300 as he is now called) and the tune done by Dick from Dicks Electronics. I am just writing to express my extreme level of satisfaction for the work and service provided by the two of them.

The car was booked in on the wednesday afternoon and ready for pickup on the friday morning. During that time I had the pleasure of driving around in a virtually new VK berlina provided by Sonny the thing only had 32000ks on it!!!! and i Believe it. The interior was emacluate.

Sonny was available to answer all of my questions i must have rung him at least 7 times over the 3 days he was able to give me all of the information i needed and much advice (me being a non automotice techy).

This is my second tune from Dick and I believe that the work coming from him just keeps getting better the car is idleing at a beautiful 850 rpm and has a really nice old school lope which is very mild when sitting in traffic but enough to have all of the pedestrians eyeing the car and the cars next to you winding up their windows :D . Once again a fantastic turnaround in the Saturday morning and ready the Saturday evening.

The car is going to sureflo tomorrow to have a exhaust brace repaired, and a couple of power runs, time permitting. Will keep you all posted on the results of that. Also going to WSID on wednesday should be able to change my 1/4 mile time down from 13.6.

Oh and a big thank you to the people who got the PBR brake kit price soo cheap from repco. Im picking a set of those up tomorrow also, figure now i can accelerate that much faster I had better be able to stopp that much better also :p .

Once again thank you all. Now all I have to do is learn to drive the bloody thing :p

See you on Wednesday

Ash

yes for sure. did u get diff gears done as well. your car should pull like a freight train compared with what it used to so a clutch will be very soon.

ask sonny if he thinks its quick enough to beat micks sv300 :p

Gotta say, this car's a beast now.

I drove it stock, bolt-ons, h/c untuned and now tuned...and Clubby250 - nah, a freight train doesn't quite pull this hard! :D

The tune's great too. There was definitely something lacking pre-tune (as expected), but now it just wants to go. Hard.

And the sound? Well Red-Drop just rocked up at my house and I can hear his car from here (the computer's a long way from the street).

All up, an awesome package. :)

That thing's a beast. :D

Cheers,
- Febs.

Sonny does all the work on my GTS and i cant recommend him highly enough. Never had any issues with the work he has done so it comes as no suprise that your as impressed with his work as you are. Im sure you would of also noticed how clean his workshop is, i dare say you could eat your food off the workshop floor safely!!!

I had 3.9's installed several months ago. It was the first reall mod I did, even before the first tune. Going on a dyno over the next couple of days should start to give me an idea of a comparison between mine and micks. However only the track will tell. The car is due at the track in 2 weeks and 2 days. I'm sure though I currently lack the experience to pull any impressive times for a car of it's power. Hopefully the private day will fix that.

Also i'm waiting on my ORCAI from power torque if any one is selling one or knows where i can get one sooner hook me up, they are currently not shipping them due to them having some legal issues with EPA so they are having stickers made up . Also i want to get a set of semi slicks.

Oh and Mick this is not a challenge :)
