My wife took delivery of her new Astra Classic "Equipe" Hatch this weekend.What a great little car-auto,hatch,abs brakes,traction control,air cond,5 stud 15" mag wheels,cruise control,electric heated rear view mirrors,cd player,-ALL FOR $20990!-Apparently the classic models are proving immensely popular,& whilst it is an outgoing model,because of the great value for money(classic with equipe package is better than old "cd" model,where you had to pay extra for traction & abs),they are selling very well.So well in fact,that they are selling some colours "off the Boat",before they are even landed.Dealers say they don't know how long the Classic "Equipe" package will be available,so I would say if you are looking for excellent value in a compact car,have a look at one of these,WHILE THEY ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS PRICE.My sister just traded her 1 year old Corolla on one,& whilst she is not an enthusiast,finds the Astra far superior.I know it's not an LS1,but if you want this type of vehicle it's extremely good value Cheers Pickles.

Yes the Astra Classic Equip is eqivalent to a TS Astra CD with optional AC and ABS/TC, When they first came out in Nov 98 an Auto Astra CD with Air and ABS/TC was $28,980 + ORC you have a savings of $8K, great value.

Must be new Astra week! We got an Astra just over a week ago. '05 AH CDX Auto. Very nice little car, lacking a bit on power, but very nice overall.
$28250 drive away with full tint was our price.

Just organised an Astra Classic for my Daughter. She got a Black one with the full HBD Kit on it Darkest Tint and Mats for $22,400 Drive Away. Only problem is they havn't confimred a delivery date as yet. At this stage looking at June.............She is as bad as I am with waiting...........Only 1 week to go until the Black SV8 arrives..............I even moved the date forward a week to that date.............

Excellent car too. I've done close to 104,000km in my '01 Astra and have had nothing significant to complain about.

Awesome choice, My previous car was a white 3 door with the full HBD bodykit and wheels, dark tint, lowered, and all the black plastic colour coded. It certainly looked the goods. I ordered it middle of January 02 and took delivery end of Feb02 - about 6 weeks but it was a painful wait. I'm sure she'll love it

I got one as my second car back in Feb and I must say that it is a well built little machine.

One of the best smaller cars that I have driven.

We got a black Astra Classic M5 with power pack, tinting, rear spoiler and a few other bit and pieces in December for under $22,500 as a second car. My wife absolutely loves it, and has clocked up over 10,000k's already!!
