Just wanting to know the differences in the programs (VCM and EDIT), which one is better, does any one know the cost on programs? I heard LS1 edit was around $6,000.
I'm located in hobart (no one has edit), and i think i've convinced the most reputable performance workshop , who is more than capable of tuning the LS1, into purchasing editing software. It will go ahead as long as i can get 4-6 cars to put a deposit down on a tune, which i already have.
Just after anyones thoughts on the programs. :)

My opinion is obviously biased but there really is no comparison between VCM Suite and LS1edit. The main points being:
- we include a fully featured scanner
- we allow PCM recovery in the event of PC or battery failure (they do not support this and basically leave you stranded with a corrupted PCM)
- we read the PCM in ~2mins, and flash in ~30secs (they are about 15mins for a read i think)
- we have a very strong tunerlock feature (at last check we could read LS1 edit "locked" PCM's)
- we allow relinking of VATs system (again it's off to a Holden dealer for the others)
- have about 3x more things to edit than they do.
- i'm pretty sure our prices are cheaper too
There's more, but you get the idea.

HPTuners (aka. VCM Suite) hands down. Does everything LS1Edit can and more. Cost is around AUD$750 from Mario at Autotechnique in Melbourne, Rowville.

Sounds good. Do you sell it or something or a tuner? How much would it be for him to buy? Buy as in the whole program not a tune?

There is also the option of EFILIVE Flashscan , does all of the above and free lifetime upgrades as well as free 2 bar support and twin spark Speed Density .
Dont even think about LS1edit , its so far out of the park that its not funny
I am not as biased as I have all 3 products - some are better supported than others

I am one of the owners and developers of HP Tuners (i'm also based in Melbourne). You can buy it from our local Aussie distributor contacts on their website http://www.vcm-suite.com.au/
Call Greg or Mario and they will help you out, the price is ~$6100 for all Gen3 Holdens.

Plus black box logging too so you don't need to have the laptop in the car logging data while you're on the road or down the strip.

Mario does all the OZ disbursements from Melbourne. Either call him on 03-9763-1195 or visit the website posted above.
