So my exhaust is getting fitted as we speak, my question is should i keep the stock exhaust system??? So the car can be put back to stock if I sell it etc, or should I just leave it at the exhaust shop?
What have you guys done and what would you do?
Thanks

If you have the room why not keep it. Or you could try and
resell it. I believe the VY systems are a big improvement over
the VT/VX exhausts so you might be able to offload it.

I kept my original SV8 system when I put a better one on it and then put the original back on to sell it. Am about to put the better one on the SS and will again keep the original.
jsttry currently has a SV8/SS system including standard headers in the classified section for $150 so probably not a lot of money in selling it.

Your probably not going to get anything for the old cast iron
headers, but I am sure some budget conscious person would
pick up the catback, even if it's only for a couple of slabs of
your favourite ale :)

keep it if you have room cause you'll eventually find some use for it

Thank's for the free advertising guys ;) Didn't know if the price was too low or too high. Just know that you can get a good aftermarket cat back system for ~$500 so didn't expect too much. Headers were only an afterthought. Probably not really useful as they'd need pipes welded etc.

I have been thinking that for a while now.
The note on my standard VY zorst sounds "meaty" and actually like a V8.
I've noticed that the stock VX note hardly rates above a whisper.

Yeah, bit like a vacuum with full bag. Think you will
find a few on here have achieved quite good tune
results with stock VY exhaust :)

Unless you get a stainless steel system on the car and expect to use it on another in a short time just throw the old system out or sell it for $100.
Waste of storage space especially if you have to pay someone to put it back on again.
